Disney Cruise Line announced its fall 2027 and spring 2028 itineraries in August 2026. Early booking opened to select Castaway Club members on August 31, and general booking opened September 8, 2026. The headlines: the Disney Wish returns to New York with Bermuda, New England and Canada sailings; the Disney Destiny home ports at Port Canaveral for the first time; the Disney Fantasy sails to Bermuda for the first time; and the Disney Magic runs two 14-night Panama Canal crossings. The holiday sailings
Halloween on the High Seas starts in September 2027. Very Merrytime Christmas sailings run in November and December 2027. These sell first, especially 4-night weekend sailings from Florida during US school breaks.
Which 2027 Disney cruise itinerary should you pick?
First Disney cruise with young kids
A 3- or 4-night Bahamas sailing from Port Canaveral on the Wish, Destiny or Dream. You get the newer ships and Castaway Cay, plus Lookout Cay on some itineraries, without committing a full week. Pair it with a few days at Walt Disney World, about an hour's drive away.
Avoiding the Florida flight
From the Northeast, take the Disney Wish from New York. A 4- or 5-night Bermuda sailing is the shortest. The 7-night New England and Canada route is best in late September and October for fall colours. Plan for two open-sea days to Bermuda, which can be choppy in autumn.
The most Caribbean for your time
A 5–7 night Southern Caribbean sailing from San Juan on the Wish or Fantasy. You spend less time at sea reaching the islands than from Florida. Add a night in Old San Juan before boarding.
West Coast families
The Disney Wonder or Disney Magic from San Diego: Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas or Catalina, on 3–7 night sailings. Fall weather in Baja is warm, but the Pacific hurricane season runs through October.
Adults or teens who want a longer voyage
The Disney Magic's 14-night Panama Canal crossing. It covers the full canal transit between San Diego and Galveston. These crossings are the rarest DCL itineraries each year.
Families in Asia and Australia
The Disney Adventure from Singapore, on short 3–4 night sailings. They're easy to add to a Singapore city stay, and Changi is one of the best-connected airports in the region.
DCL itinerary planning tips
- Booking windows open by Castaway Club tier. Pearl and Platinum members book first, then Gold, Silver, and finally the general public. Concierge and high-demand holiday dates can sell out in the member windows.
- Port Canaveral or Fort Lauderdale? Port Canaveral is about 45–60 minutes from Orlando airport (MCO). Fort Lauderdale's Port Everglades is about 10 minutes from FLL. If you're not combining the cruise with Disney World, Fort Lauderdale is the easier port.
- Double-island sailings (Castaway Cay twice) suit families who care more about beach time than new ports.
- Hurricane season runs through November 30. Late September and October Caribbean and Bermuda sailings carry the highest re-routing risk.
- San Juan sailings need a flight, but no passport for US citizens flying from the mainland. Check the cruise's documentation rules for the foreign ports.
